Small Acts, Big Impact: Why Your Feedback and Reviews Matter
Writing reviews can seem like a tedious task for many, however, what I have learned since having my own wee business is that reviews are more powerful than I realised – positive or negative.
By taking the time to share your opinions and experiences with a product and service you are not only helping businesses like mine to get that wee dopamine hit or to improve our products and/or services but you are also giving other potential customers a heads up on what to expect. Your review can act as a form of advertising, showcasing the strengths of businesses and building credibility among those interested in the products and services.
Thinking about it I look at company reviews all the time to choose between where I am going to spend my precious and limited amount of time and money whether it be for a mechanic, the best coffee and cheese scone, family outing. Let’s be honest, many of us look for negative reviews first and hope that there won’t be many for a place that we think will be worth our time and money. But, with positive reviews it is more than likely going to lead you to making a purchase so therefore having positive reviews can boost sales and enhance the reputation of the business, ultimately leading to growth and success – which is what we want and strive for!
So, when you purchase a product from a small business, don’t underestimate the power of writing a review – your words make a wonderful (well, hopefully) impact not just on my small business and my sense of empowerment about kicking ass in the competitive space but for other potential customers. Stay cool! Taylor x
